The Quiet Hare envisions education where learning is thoughtful, focused, and meaningful -- where students grow into confident thinkers and writers.

The Quiet Hare was created by Laurie Ward, an educator with more than 12 years of classroom experience. Laurie holds a Master's degree in Secondary Education and a Ph.D. in Instructional Leadership and Academic Curriculum.
The Quiet Hare was developed from a deep understanding of the needs teachers face every day -- creating meaningful, student-driven lessons while also preparing for the unexpected realities of the classroom, including planned and unplanned absences.

Quiet Hare lessons are built around thoughtful, structured learning. Each lesson is designed to guide students step-by=step through the thinking and writing process while allowing teachers to implement meaningful instruction with clarity and confidence.

Quiet Hare lessons are designed to make high school writing instruction clearer, calmer, and more manageable for both teachers and students.
Each resource combines skill-focused instruction, independent learning structures, and thoughtful scaffolding that supports real classroom needs without overwhelming students or adding unnecessary complexity for teachers.

The Quiet Hare is designed for teachers who value lessons designed to prioritize clarity, reasoning, and meaningful skill development over rushed completion or surface-level practice.
